Signature resizer

Resize your signature to the exact size and file limit an online form requires — for example 140 × 60 px under 20 KB — with a clean white background.

How to use it

  1. Sign on plain white paper with a black or dark blue pen, then photograph or scan it.
  2. Choose the photo and pick the size your form asks for — or type it in.
  3. Download the JPG and upload it to your form.

Getting a clean signature

A good scan makes all the difference once the signature is shrunk to a small size:

  • Use plain white paper and a dark pen with a thick-ish line.
  • Photograph it in daylight, straight on, without shadows.
  • Crop tightly around the signature first with the crop tool, leaving a little white space.

Exact size, no squashing

Signature boxes are wide and short. If your crop is a different shape, "Crop to fit" trims evenly from the edges rather than stretching your handwriting. For best results, crop roughly to the target shape yourself first.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Resizing happens inside your browser on your own device, so your photos are never sent to a server.

My signature has a transparent background. Is that a problem?

No — transparent areas become white automatically when saving as JPG, which is what forms expect.

The form wants 10–20 KB but my signature is only 6 KB.

Small, simple images can be naturally tiny. A few forms reject files below their minimum; if yours does, resize to slightly larger dimensions (for example 300 × 120 px) to raise the file size.

Can I also resize my thumb impression?

Yes — the same steps work for thumb impressions and any other small scanned mark.
