HEIC to JPG converter
Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPGs that open everywhere. Convert a whole batch at once — privately, on your own device.
How to use it
- Choose your HEIC photos — from an iPhone, AirDrop, iCloud or a USB transfer.
- They convert to JPG one after another. The decoder downloads the first time you convert a HEIC file.
- Download each JPG, or all of them as a ZIP.
What is a HEIC file?
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container), which takes about half the space of JPG. The catch: Windows, many Android phones, websites and upload forms cannot open HEIC. Converting to JPG makes your photos work everywhere.
Convert on any device
This works on Windows PCs, Chromebooks, Android phones and Macs. Safari opens HEIC natively; in other browsers a HEIC decoder (about 1 MB) is downloaded the first time and runs on your device — your photos are never uploaded.
Stop your iPhone saving HEIC
To make future photos JPG: on your iPhone go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose "Most Compatible". Photos take more space, but you will not need to convert them.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Every conversion happens inside your browser on your own device, so your photos are never sent to a server — and large batches convert without any upload wait.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Choose or drop as many files as you like; they convert one after another, and "Download all as ZIP" saves them together.
Do I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?
At the default 92% quality the difference is invisible. JPG files are larger than HEIC — that is the trade-off for working everywhere.
Are live photos supported?
The still image of a Live Photo converts. The short video part is not included.
