Resize image
Change the size of any photo — in pixels, as a percentage, or in centimetres for printing — and optionally keep it under a file-size limit. Free, and nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose a photo — JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC.
- Type the new width or height (proportions are kept), pick a common size, or switch to percentage.
- Choose the format, optionally limit the file size, and download.
Pixels, percentage or print size
Type a width and the height follows automatically, so the photo never looks stretched. Switch to percentage to scale everything at once — 50% halves both sides. For printing, choose cm, mm or inches and a DPI (300 is standard for photo prints); the pixel size is calculated for you.
Exact sizes without stretching
When a form or website needs an exact width and height in a different shape from your photo, untick "Keep proportions". With "Crop to fit" on, the photo is trimmed evenly from the edges instead of being squashed. For full control over what is kept, use the crop tool.
High-quality scaling
Big reductions are done in several halving steps rather than one jump, which avoids the jagged edges and shimmering you get from simple resizers.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. Resizing happens inside your browser on your own device, so your photos are never sent to a server.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes, up to 12,000 pixels on a side, but enlarging cannot add detail that was not captured — it will look softer. Reducing size always looks sharp.
What DPI should I use?
300 DPI for photo prints and passport-style photos, 150 DPI for everyday documents. DPI only matters when you size in cm, mm or inches.
Can I resize and reduce the file size together?
Yes. Tick "Limit file size" and enter a size in KB; the image is resized and then compressed to fit.
