Ringtone maker
Turn any song or sound into a ringtone. Pick your favourite 30 seconds, add a fade, and download an MP3 ready for your phone.
How to use it
- Choose a song or audio file — the first 30 seconds are selected for you with a 2-second fade out.
- Drag the selection to your favourite part (the chorus usually works best) and press play to check it.
- Download the MP3 and set it as your ringtone.
Setting the ringtone on Android
Android phones use MP3 files directly:
- Download the MP3 on your phone (or copy it into the Ringtones folder).
- Open Settings → Sound & vibration → Phone ringtone.
- Choose "+" or "From internal storage" and pick your file.
Setting the ringtone on iPhone
iPhones need ringtones in the M4R format, added through GarageBand or a computer. Download the WAV, open it in GarageBand on your iPhone, then use Share → Ringtone. Ringtones on iPhone must be 30 seconds or shorter — the selection here starts at exactly 30 seconds.
Tips for a good ringtone
Start right on a strong beat or the first word of the chorus so the ringtone is recognisable immediately. Keep it between 15 and 30 seconds, and use a fade out so it does not stop abruptly when it loops.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a ringtone be?
Between 15 and 30 seconds. iPhone ringtones cannot be longer than 30 seconds; Android ones can, but short ringtones loop more naturally.
Can I make a notification or alarm sound too?
Yes. Select a 1–5 second clip for a notification sound, or a longer section for an alarm, and save as MP3.
Is it free?
Completely — no app, no account and no watermark.
