Design
How to use it
- Choose what the code should open — a website, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, email, phone, SMS, text or a contact card — and fill in the details.
- Pick colours and a dot style, and add a logo if you like. The preview updates as you type and checks the code scans.
- Download a PNG for screens and documents, or an SVG for printing at any size.
Codes that never expire
Many QR generators give you a "dynamic" code that points to their own short link and then redirects. If you stop paying — or the company closes — every printed menu, poster and business card with that code stops working.
Codes made here are static: the link or text is encoded directly in the pattern. Nothing depends on our website, so they work forever, and no one can see who scans them.
Make sure it scans
After every change the code is read back the way a phone camera would read it, and the page tells you if it scans. Keep these in mind:
- Dark dots on a light background scan best; light-on-dark confuses some apps.
- Keep the quiet border around the code when you print it.
- Logos are fine up to about a quarter of the width — error correction rises to High automatically.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 in); bigger for posters scanned from a distance.
PNG or SVG?
PNG is best for websites, presentations and documents — choose 1024 px or 2048 px for print. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, ideal for professional printing, signs and packaging.
Frequently asked questions
Will my QR code stop working?
No. These are static QR codes: the link or text is stored inside the image itself, not on our servers, so they keep working forever — even if this website disappeared. Many "free" generators make dynamic codes that redirect through their servers and stop working unless you pay.
Is my information stored anywhere?
No. The code is created in your browser; what you type is never sent to a server, and scans are not tracked.
Can I edit the link after printing?
No — with a static code the link is fixed in the pattern. If the destination might change, link to a page on your own website that you control.
Can I use the codes commercially?
Yes. Use them on products, menus, flyers and packaging — no attribution needed.
